‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has given condition for power shift from Ibadan, the state capital, to the other four zones of the state.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that there have been agitations for power shift currently.
Since the present Oyo state was created, only late Adebayo Alao-Akala, is the non-Ibadanman that has governed the state.
Makinde who spoke on Channels TV’s Politics Today last night said the issue of zoning would be a continuous discussion since politics is a game of numbers.
He added, however, that the governorship would leave Ibadan when there is a governor who has performed excellently and has earned the trust of the people and who decides to convince people in that direction.
