As the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, clocks 92 today, Chairman of the Nigeria Communications, NCC, Prof Adeolu Akande, has joined the list of well-wishers.
Oba Adetunji who was installed 4th March, 2016, was born on August 26, 1928.
Akande, according to a statement, said like those who had reigned before him, Oba Adetunji is a monarch every person would love to associate with.
“Kabiyesi is someone every would-be monarch should study closely. Oba Adetunji is not an ordinary monarch. Within few years on the throne of his forebears, many developmental strides have continued to be attracted to his domain. The reason for this is not far-fetched; Kabiyesi made his mark in business before attaining assuming the throne. As a record label owner who produced the likes of Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde, KWAM, he was indeed prepared for the throne.
“There is no doubt as to his capacity to make peace and unite people. Apart from his cordial relationship with other monarchs within and outside, Kabiesi sees everybody as his children.
“I can only pray God to continue to enlarge his coast as he celebrates another birthday in good health and prosperity, I pray he reigns long on the throne. Kabiyesi, may your reign continue to bring peace, development and unity to the length and breadth of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital and Nigeria at large. Happy birthday Kabiyesi.”
