A senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo Central, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, has commiserated with the people of Oyo over demise of a business tycoon of note, Alhaji AbdulWahab Yusuf Alao.
Popularly called Biizinilahi or BNL by admirers, the old man, who was in his 80s, died in the early hours of Friday.
Akintunde, who also hails from Oyo, said that the signature businesses established by the deceased, has etched his name in gold, as his name would continue to be remembered within and outside the town.
According to the former commissioner and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, “Alhaji Biizinilahi was a businessman of note. His businesses didn’t only put Oyo in great stead, many of our people were under his employ for many years.
“He is someone many people need to learn from. His contribution to the growth of Islam within and outside Oyo town was another thing. He was a proud Oyo man. You can see that in almost everything he did. Apart from erecting estates within Oyo, his cars’ number plates are another testimonies.
“Baba, no doubt, lived a worthy life. I want to commiserate with Oyos, home and abroad, over his death. The families should be consoled by the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation. I pray Allah repose his soul and grant him aljannah firdaus.”
