A 2019 gubernatorial candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has felicitated with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu on the occasion of the 92nd birthday.
Tegbe, in a statement made available to newsmen described the Olubadan as a monarch committed to the peace and development of Ibadanland .
He wrote: “On His Imperial Majesty’s birthday, I take the opportunity to express my heartfelt respect, love, and gratitude to His Imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso.
“Every day, I am inspired by Kábíyèsí’s love and unending commitment to the entrenchment of peace and development in Ibadanland. We are constantly reminded of our identities by his graceful carriage and dignity. His reign has been a very peaceful one and we are truly blessed to have you as our monarch, Your Majesty
“I thank The Almighty for preserving you till this day. I pray that the Almighty will continually renew your strength. May the rest of your reign bring more prosperity to Ibadanland.”
