Supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, across the country have been asked to exercise restraint and remain peaceful in the face of provocations from any quarter.

A pro-Tinubu’s group, National Advocates for Equity and Social Development, NAESC, gave the charge on Monday in a statement reacting to the ongoing declaration of results from the Saturday, February 25 presidential elections.

National Convener of the group, Dr. Hajara Ali Fagge said party supporters have nothing to fear, as the candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is in the comfortable lead to win the total outcome of the polls.

“Feelers from across the country indicates that our members are fretting over delays being experienced in the declaration of the presidential election. Without mincing words and while not serving the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC; data at our disposal assures that our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in the lead with guaranteed winning spread and figures.

“We therefore call on our supporters from all over the country to remain peaceful, confident that the party will emerge victorious at the end of the exercise in the best interest of party, but most importantly, our nation.

“Again, we call on INEC to fast-track this process to douse tensions across the country and end the process within reasonable timeframe. We further appeal to our supporters to remain vigilant and exercise patience as the electoral body reel out the votes as the only lawful channel with the mandate to authenticate the outcome of the Saturday’s elections.”
