For whatever reasons, a good and responsible leader does not take offense in the behaviors of her subjects in any capacity. And that is if he was even offended genuinely, and not on pretense.
The many events happening here in Oyo State having the state governor at the center of the negative perceptions are not too good of a leader, especially the self-acclaimed man of the masses as fondly called by his followers. And I wonder if those followers are having the time to whisper into their principal’s ear and tell him his attitudinal expression is bad to many of the notable things in the state.
Since last year, and up till this moment, the governor has not seen any reason why he needed to pay a visit to the family of his predecessor, Late Sen. Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, and has been avoiding many events related to his name. It is not too good for a governor like him.
Some people are there yesterday, he is there today, and certainly, someone else will be there tomorrow.
For over a week now that the good people of Ogbomoso lost their monarch, Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the governor has not deemed it fit to pay his condolence visit on behalf of the state to the palace and Ogbomosho people.
If Ajimobi had offended him in many ways before his death, did the Kabiesi as well offend him? No, it is wrong of a governor to have acted that way.
Now that the Asigangan of Igangan has joined his ancestors, and that the governor has not officially condole with the Asigangan palace and the people of Igangan just like others, what does that imply traditionally?
Are we having a governor that has a high level of disregard for the traditional institution of Yorubaland?
Who is pushing our ‘God sent Governor’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 against nature?
No, it is wrong, Gov. Seyi Makinde, kindly retrace and make amend.
