A former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mikail Azeez Alarape has congratulated Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim Imam on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
Alarape, in his congratulatory message, described the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim as a round peg in a round hole noting that he is sure the new Chairman will relish based on his love for education and provision of infrastructural facilities in schools.
The Saki-born politician, popularly known as Iroko, wrote: “Sir, ever since 2006 when I knew you during the political brohuha shortly after my removal as speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, you have displayed an incredible, awesome personality, a detribalized Nigerian, high cognitive ability, goal setting, unequal managerial skill of human and material resources.
“Your exploit as the head of King’s College alumni is not only legendary but a reference point for many years to come. Indeed you live to the slogan of the school “Old school, new thing”.
“Mr. Chairman, with your amazing experience in managing an international revenue generating company, this I hope will bear a positive fruit towards generating, monitoring and disbursement of education tax to arrest the obvious rot and deterioration in infrastructural facility in our tertiary institution.”
Hon. Alarape also appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu for appointing “an accomplished detribalized Nigerian to pilot the revolution in infrastructural deficit” in tertiary institutions in the country.
