The third empowerment training of youths on small and medium scale enterprises facilitated by The Senator representing Oyo North, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai has been concluded with 50 youths went home with N50,000 each today.
During the training organized by Senator Buhari in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) held at Parapo Hall, Apake, Ogbomoso between Wednesday 8 and Today, Friday 10 November, 2023, selected youths from the 13local government areas of the senatorial district were groomed on the rudiments of having a successful business of their own.
At the end of the event today the beneficiaries were given a sum of fifty thousand naira each among other valuable packages which included a certificate of participation at the training.
In his address delivered on behalf of Senator Buhari, Hon. Kunle Adeyi admonished the participants to make best use of their newly acquired skills to better their lives.
According to him “some of you who have been engaging in one form of business or the other must have gotten new ways to improve on your businesses and that is exactly what the facilitator of this golden privilege, Senator Buhari intended to achieve”.
Hon. Kunle declared that the third series of the empowerment training in just interval of three weeks was a signal of dedication of Senator Buhari towards making lives better for the constituents of Oyo North Senatorial District.
It shall be recalled that just last week at Iseyin local government, a total of 150 women selected across the district were given similar empowerment and they all went home with N50,000 each.
It is also worthy of note that two weeks ago, a total of 100 carefully selected farmers were also empowered at Saki and they equally laughed to their various homes with packages that included N50,000 for each of the participants.
