A special delegation of Senator Teslim Folarin, this afternoon, paid condolence visits to families of the late chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) – Pa Samuel Farinu (93), Chief Solomon Mojere Akindele (83) and Hon. Moses Onaolapo Gidado (90).
While condoling the bereaved families, Folarin described Pa Farinu and Chief Akindele as staunch awoists. He said they will be sorely missed by the progressives family, the Oyo State APC and the people of the ancient town of Oyo.
“The Babas’ contributions to progressive causes were laudable. They were quite steadfast and dogged in defence of good governance and progressive politicking in Nigeria. Their deaths have robbed the progressive family of its eloquent defenders” says Folarin.
The former State Chairman of the defunct AC and ACN, Pa Farinu, hailed from Oyo East LGA while Chief Akindele who was until his demise, Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman for APC hailed from Atiba LGA. Hon. Gidado hailed from Oyo East LGA.
The delegation was led by Alhaji Yinka Folarin. Members of the delegation include Hon. Muritala Hammed (APC Chairman, Oyo West LGA), Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Jayeoba, Otunba (Alhaji) Waheed Olawale, Hon Biliamin Ogundele, Hon. Akeem Lele Folarin, Alhaji Tunji Ajimobi, Hon. Olujide Tirimisiyu, Hon. Olosunde Micheal Olalekan, Mogaji Afolabi Adesina, Hon Tunji Akinbiyi and Alhaja Bibire.
