As a way of rewarding Oyo for having the highest numbers of votes during the last presidential election in the southwest, President Bola Tinubu, apart from giving the normal ministerial slot, has also reserved a Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, post for the state.
This is barring any last minutes’ change of mind.
The Lagos source, who confided in OYOINSIGHT.COM said the nominee for the ministerial position from the state has not changed as at Friday morning, adding that the CBN nominee has also been screened by security agencies.
According to multiple sources who corroborated the first source, the person for the job has passed security checks. They are however unsure if the Oyo-man will be governor or one of the four deputies.
MINISTERIAL NOMINEE
Nominated by a high-ranking Nigerian, the top indigene of Okeogun is among the names to be forwarded by Tinubu to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation for ministerial position.
The easy-going man, who hails from one of the populous towns in the 10 local government areas, is said to have passed security checks.
The man, who has reached the top in his profession, would be among the first batch of ministerial nominees.
Apart from the fact his philanthropic gestures within and outside the state, have received attention, he is said to be well-known to the senators from Oyo State.
In the last decades, especially from 2015, he has delved into businesses which ranges from hospitality to education.
In his profession, he has also consulted for top Nigerians. Sources said he was a three-term resident electoral commisioner.
