The National President, Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association, Prof Olufemi Omisore, on Wednesday commended the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, for his conduct before and during the elections.
Adelabu lost the election to Mr Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party.
But Omisore, in a press statement signed by LAGSOBA’ General Secretary, Mr Wale Adeoye, said Adelabu made the association proud even in defeat.
He said, “To us at Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, you have made us proud.
“You have undoubtedly redefined Oyo State politics with the pattern with which you ran your campaign.
“You have shown to the whole world that truly, Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan is ‘always the best.’ We are indeed proud of you.”
Omisore promised Adelabu of the association’s support in his future political ambition.
He said the governorship candidate’s contributions to the development of the school would continue to speak for him.
He urged members to be more united and look forward to a better future with hope.
