EMPOWERMENT: Rep Lafisoye Splashes 150 Million On Constituents

A member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Oyo, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye has yet put smiles on the faces of his constituents has he distributed over one hundred and fifty million naira empowerment items benefited by nothing less than 1000 people in the said constituency today.

Speaking at the empowerment programme held at Faith Joe Events Centre, Alegongo, Ibadan, the lawmaker disclosed that the programme he facilitated in conjunction with Federal Cooperative College, Orji River, Enugu State for the provision of rice, fertilizers and pesticides was meant to appreciate his constituents for their continuous support, prayer and cooperation since his assumption of office in 2023.

Lafi noted that he has been initiating and executing life-changing projects and programmes for thousands of people in his constituency because of his belief that human capital development is the bedrock of growth and development of every society.

While assuring the leaders and the entire people of the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency never to disconnect himself from them as their representative, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye promised them to expect more impactful dividends of democracy that will improve their standard of living at all times.

In their separate words of appreciation, Mr Jimoh Musa Ajeigbe and Pa James Olorisade (a.k.a. Olowe) attested to the fact that Hon. Akimmoyede Olafisoye’s outstanding performance is first of a kind in the history of the lawmakers that have been representing the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency since 1999 up till date.

Some of those that benefitted from the 500 bags of rice, 308 fertilizers and 300 pesticides distributed were Oladepo Modinat, Akande Ganiyat, Olakojo Sulaiman, Olapade Timileyin, Dasola Adeleke, and Oyelakin Bose.


Among the leaders present at the programme were Hon. Joshua Oyebamiji (Atiku), Hon. Olusegun Olaleye (Radical brother), Hon. D.A. Lawal, Hon. Ope Salami, Hon. Biodun Oladeji, Hon. Femi Akintunde and others.
