A philanthropic organisation, Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation, is set to give out the sum of N1, 000, 000 to winner in its green grant award.
The gesture, according to the organisers, is part of its efforts to support and empower youths.
Explaining that the award will hold yearly, the organisers said that it requested for applications from interested young entrepreneurs in the environmental and agricultural sectors who have innovative ideas to solve problems within the sector and it got over 1000 applications.
The applications, they added, were screened internally during the first stage and 40 made it to the next round after which a team of carefully selected judges selected 12 best from them.
The 12 finalists have been invited to the final stage which comprises of a bootcamp which will hold in Ibadan, Oyo State during the last week of August 2019 where the attendees will be trained on the nitty gritty of setting up and maintaining a business.
On the last day, they will be required to pitch their idea to the panel of judges and an audience. From this, a winner will be selected and a grand prize of One Million Naira (1,000,000) will be awarded alongside mentorship and access to other opportunities.
