Ibraheem Olayode Iyiola says he’s the most prepared candidate to represent Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in 2027.
Dudu Alubarika, as he’s popularly known, has had his eyes set on the Reps seat for a while. In 2019, late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi requested that he step down for another candidate in the party likewise in 2023, a similar situation occurred when the party hierarchy backed another candidate .
But things are different now, Dudu Alubarika argues.
“I am best suited to represent the good people of Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East Federal constituency because I bring a deep understanding of our people, our culture, and our needs. Being rooted in Ibadan’s heritage, I appreciate both our history and the urgency of modern development.
“I am committed to purposeful representation; one that prioritizes infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, and economic opportunities for all. My approach is not just about occupying a seat, but about being a strong voice that listens, engages and delivers tangible results.
“With integrity, accessibility, and a clear vision, I will bridge the gap between the people and government, ensuring that the interests of our communities are not only heard but actively advanced at the national level,” the University of Houston-trained MBA graduate was quoted saying.
To make his case, he points to key Projects he has facilitated as a private citizen through his Foundation.
These include: Renovation of 16 classrooms at St. David Primary School, Kudeti, Ibadan – SE; Sinking of new boreholes and renovation of existing ones across Ibadan; Donation of school bags and books to students; Scholarships for indigent students; Cash support for small-scale businesses; Empowerment programs for community members, Provision of 6KVA solar powered electricity and renovation of Omiyale Health Center.
He added: “I stand as the most capable and committed choice to represent the people of Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East Federal constituency , not by chance, but by preparation, purpose, and proven connection to our people.
“I am a son of the soil, deeply rooted in the heritage, struggles, and aspirations of Ibadan. I understand our streets, our traditions, and the everyday realities our people face. This is not just about representation, it is about restoring dignity, delivering results, and ensuring our voices carry weight at the national level.
“For too long, our people have settled for promises. I bring a different approach, one built on action, accountability, and access. I will champion policies that directly impact our lives: better infrastructure, real economic opportunities for our youth, improved education, and strategic development that reflects the greatness of our constituency.
“I will not be distant. I will not be silent. I will not be ineffective. I will be present, vocal, and relentless in the pursuit of progress for our people.
