The death of the Ekefa Olubadan, Alhaji Lateef Oyelade, has been described as one that has robbed Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, of a patriot.
Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, who made this known in a condolence message to the family of the deceased, said the deceased senior chief would be sorely missed.
“Everyone would agree with me that we would have loved to have Baba around for more years so as to be able to drink from his wealth of experience but who are we to question God.
”We are consoled by the good life Baba lived and the legacies he left behind. I can testify to the fact that he was tolerant. He was lovable and kindhearted.
“I condole with the immediate family and the people of Ibadan over this loss. May Baba’s soul rest in perfect peace,” Sanusi, who is the Mogaji of Olugbade compound, said.
