Stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo federal constituency have described the first 15 months of the administration of the Governor Seyi Makinde as beneficial to the general masses in the state.
They also revealed that the ongoing rehabilitation of roads tagged”Operation Zero Potholes” across the local governments of the state has a direct positive impact on the wellbeing of the people and socio economic development of the state, noting that the quality of the project is commendable because it was awarded to a competent and indigenous contractor who believes in the good governance and image of the current administration
These roads include the asphatic patching of Deborah street, Niresa, Sabo, Repair of potholes along Owode Junction Road, Asphatic and pavement at Motor park Road, Fiditi Junction and Kudeti-Alaagba Road, Gudugbu-Awumoro Road, Rehabilitation of Olubuse Street Ajegunle, Ajegunle Market, Repair of potholes Along Durbar-Akinmorin Road, Repair of potholes along Durbar to Akesan market Road, Asphatic patching of Okedeji Junction -Afos Road, Rehabilitation of Apogidan, Iseke Area and Repair of potholes Along Araromi-Mabolaje-Overcomers Road
The leaders also commended all the caretaker chairmen in Oyo federal constituency for the proper supervision and total cooperation for the success of the project.
In the same vein, they reposed their trust in Makinde, noting that they are sure all his electioneering campaign promises on the abandoned projects of the last administration within the constituency, “like the Atiba FM and Oyo teaching hospital will be critically looked-into and completed, like the case of SILO located in Oyo-Awe Road which is currently moving to a completion by another indigenous contractor.”
On agriculture, they applauded the governor on the launch of agribusiness empowerment for young farmers at both DFFRI Awe and Fasola, noting that this will be of great advantage to farmers and young graduates who wish to embark on farming as job and by extension, boost the socioeconomic development of the constituency and state at large.
They added: “On a final note, it is a pertinent and well known fact, that if care is not taken, unwanted distraction brings about destruction or killing of brilliant ideas,it is on this note, we unanimously urge you(GSM) to remain focus on good governance and we shall be happy to welcome more developmental projects be located to Oyo federal findtituency for this and many masses oriented policies will surely pave way for our party to reach its greater height.
“We, the undersigned, on behalf of the good people of this constituency hereby convincingly pass our vote of confidence on your style of leadership for the progress of Oyo state and our great party.”
