The people of Saki East/ATISBO State Constituency have appreciated the Honourable representing them at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Saminu Rilwan popularly known as Wale Canada for the fumigation of the Constituency and distribution of food items to the people.
The people expressed their gratitude to the state legislator in a letter made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM on Wednesday night.
According to the letter, the people wrote that they would be an ingrate if they fail to acknowledge the ‘munificent’ and unprecedented gesture of the lawmaker concerning the food items he distributed to them.
“Development, as we know, is a progressive and positive change which all well-meaning communities of the world strive to attain. Development is a process of change that affects the lives of the populace positively. It usually involves an improvement in the quality of life as perceived by the people undergoing change. However, development is not always a positive process.
“Appraisal is the process of evaluating performance, and as such we would be an ingrate if we don’t acknowledge your munificent gesture concerning the food items supplied to people.” The letter read.
They stressed further that the most amazing part is that the lawmaker ensured all towns and villages in the constituency were reached through the use of an “efficacious door-to-door system”.
“We pray that God Almighty continue to strengthen you and give you the wisdom the required to pilot the constituency to the desired summit.” They added.
OYOINSIGHT.COM learned that the lawmaker distributed food items like rice, garri, beans among others to people in all towns and villages in the constituency.
He also ordered the fumigation of strategic locations in the constituency including Churches and Mosques
He then implored his constituents to follow the preventive measures outlined by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the community.
At the time of writing this report, the total number of confirmed cases by the NCDC in the country is now 174 with two deaths.
