In the late hours of Sunday, April 5, Governor Seyi Makinde announced that he had tested negative for coronavirus six days after testing positive.
Similarly, the Public Relations Officer of the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, Toye Akinrinlola, announced on the 31st of March, 2020, that the Chief Medical Director, of the institution, Prof Jesse A. Otegbayo, has tested negative for coronavirus less than seven days after testing positive
OYOINSIGHT.COM also reported how the Executive Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde announced that the state has discharged three patients who have tested negative twice on Thursday, April 9.
However, as at 8:15 pm on Friday, April 10, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, is yet to update the data on its website to show that the governor or any of the four other people, who state government announced to have recovered from the disease, had been discharged.
The data on the NCDC website show that the state has a total of 11 confirmed cases with no death or recovery.
As at the time of writing this report, messages sent to NCDC to ascertain their failure to update the data have neither been acknowledged nor replied.
