A loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Waheed Akintayo popularly known as ‘Ilumoka Presenter’ has joined other party faithful to congratulate Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, Alhaja Modinat Abosede Adedibu and other executives that were elected at the PDP Zonal congress held in Osogbo, Osun State on Monday 12th April, 2021.
Akintayo who was an aspirant for the Chairmanship position in Oluyole Local Government at the recently conducted PDP primaries, described the emergence of Arapaja and Alhaja Adedibu as a well deserved ones going by their experiences and roles they have played at various levels at one time or the other.
He said that with Arapaja as the Zonal Chairman of PDP in the south west, there is no doubt that the coast is now clear for the party to become great again and be formidable in the zone ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Akintayo appreciated the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on behalf of his Political leaders in Oluyole Local Government like the Deputy Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Hon. Mojeed Mogbonjubola (Jagaban), Dr Gbola Adetunji Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Alhaji Abdul Fatai Ogunrin, Mr Shittu Adams, Princess Aderonke Adedoja, Mogaji Akeem Ayelagbe and others for the nomination and total support given to Ambassador Arapaja before, during and after the Zonal congress election which was eventually won despite the antics of those he described as devils to destabilize the party especially in the south west region.
He said that the party need men of proven integrity like Arapaja who has proved his mettle and has vast experience in politics and governance at the local, State and national levels to steer the ship of the party at this critical time to unify and pacify all who felt aggrieved one way or the other and bring them together to solidify the party.
Akintayo urged other members of the party in Oyo State and South West as a whole to rally round the Chairman and other elected executives in their quest to join other zones in the country to wrestle power from the ruling party, APC’s misrule in the next general elections.
