Governor Seyi Makinde has charged members of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) to conduct inclusive and credible local government elections in the state.
Makinde, who stated this in a tweet on Thursday afternoon, also inaugurated the new members of the board.
He urged the board to conduct the elections as soon as possible.
“This morning, we inaugurated the board of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC)
“I urged them to conduct inclusive and credible local government elections in Oyo State within the shortest possible time,” the governor’s tweet read.

The chairman of the board is Barr Isiaka Olagunju.
Members are Comrade Adeniyi Afeez Babatunde, Alhaja Ganiyat Saka, Mr Olanrewaju Emmanuel, Chief Kunle Agboola, Mr Remi Ayoade, Mr Sunday Falana and Mr. Adeojo Elias.
