Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has vowed never to address those protesting against the alleged plans by the state government to acquire more lands for Ibadan circular road corridor.
Makinde, who spoke at the commissioning of the Ibadan central bus terminal, said he won’t address the protesters.
He asked those affected by the project to meet him at the circular road for discussion, insisting those protesting are not real owners but being sponsored.
Saying that the project has been ongoing for many decades, he said the need to extend the land was for economic purpose and not personal.
OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls that owners of land on the corridors of Ibadan circular road have been protesting over the 500 metres to be taken on each side of the Ibadan circular road.
