Zacch Adelabu Adelabu, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on revenue, has been appointed acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS.
Adedeji, who, at 33, was former governor Abiola’s finance commissioner, was asked to fill the void created by retirement leave of the outgoing chairman of the commission, Mohammed Nami whose tenure ends in December 2023.
The certified accountant who hails from Iwo -Ate area of Ogo-Oluwa local government of Oyo State, recently bagged his doctorate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in public sector finance.
He served as the Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC).
Adedeji graduated with a First Class in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. He also has a Masters in Accounting from the state institution, while also bagging a PhD in Public Sector Finance from OAU.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the CITN
