Less than 24 hours after he was suspended as council chairman by b 4?out of the 10 councilors in Ogbomoso North local government, former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala’s son, Olamiju, has been replaced with his vice, Hon. Abass Bello Bayewuwon.
Bayewuwon was inaugurated this afternoon inside the office of the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Mr Bimbo Kolade at the government secretariat Agodi Ibadan.
The event was also attended by Political office holders and stalwarts All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.
OYO INSIGHT recalled that Olamiju had dismissed his suspension, saying it was illegal because 4 ‘councillors-elect’ cannot suspend him.
In a statement issued and personally signed, Olamiju said he still remains the council chairman and he would use the 3-year mandate to serve the people of Ogbomoso North.
Meanwhile there were presence of heavy security at the premises of Ogbomoso North local government
About five patrol vehicles were placed at strategic locations around the council secretariat while stern looking uniformed men with arms were sighted at premises.
