The security apparatus of banks in town was taken over by Operation Burst officers after hoodlums rained destruction on the police station and other public and private properties in the town in October.

A close source said “the Operation Burst has told the banks that securing banks was not their primary duty at Iseyin and they can not do it anymore.

“The banks have no choice than to close down until there is enough security to guard their operations, I can not blame them, the community must quickly do something about it because of commercial activities that will be affected.”

Meanwhile the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Dr. Abdulganiy Salaudeen Adekunle Oloogunebi 1, has called for an urgent meeting of all stakeholders in the town to address the issue and other critical issues affecting the community.

Sources close to the palace said the meeting would hold on Thursday 10th of December, 2020 at the palace by ten in the morning.
