As schools across Oyo State resume academic activities next Monday, an aspirant for the AFIJIO State Constituency of Oyo State House of Assembly, Barr. Seyi Adisa yesterday has put smiles on the faces of his people.
Bags numbering 500 and exercise books were distributed to pupils in the local government.
Adisa, who hails from Awe part of the local government, is contesting on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Distributing it through his Back2School Parents’ Empowerment Scheme, Adisa, who is the principal private secretary to Governor Abiola Ajimobi, said the gesture is just “one of the several E Je Ka Seyi Educational Programmes already set to be rolled out in the coming weeks, with one ultimate goal to support children in that state constituency in their drive to earn qualitative education.”
According to the soft spoken politician, “this move to distribute empowerment materials to school children in AFIJIO is a move that smacks of sensitivity, especially to parent’s needs at this crucial time of a new term resumption.”
He added that this was not the first time he has extended such gesture but explained that “I have just used this occasion to achieve two things; to talk to you about my aspiration and alleviate the burdens of parents by distributing this as schools resume next week. We will still do more in the coming weeks.”
