Babalola, Owolabi Emerge Consensus Candidates In Ibadan North East

    The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan Northeast local government where Governor Seyi Makinde hails from, has elected Hon Abiodun Babalola as the consensus candidate for Ibadan Northeast constituency 1.

    The local government stakeholders forum conducted the election on Sunday where Babalola emerged defeating his closest challenger, Oyelakin Taiwo. The ex-Ibadan East LCDA boss polled 7 votes while Oyelakin polled 5 votes.

    He will replace the serving lawmaker, Mogaji Akinajo who is not a member of the G13.

    In constituency 2 Hon Olusola Owolabi, a member of G13 was alleged to have been imposed by the leaders.
