A lecturer at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Dr. David Oluwafemi Okunlola, has described the transition of the Aseyin of Iseyinland, Oba Abdulganiy Salaudeen, as one death too many.
Recall that the Aseyin, a first class traditional ruler, joined his ancestors on Sunday after a protracted illness.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, Okunlola, who hails from Saki, noted that the late monarch was a father to all.
“The news of Kabiyesi’s transition came as a shock to me. Baba was not just a monarch, he was also a traditional ruler, whose influence on people cuts across various aspect of life.
“He was also a father to people like me who are interested in the development of Okeogun,” the Saki-born politician wrote. He commiserate with the entire people of Iseyin, Oyo State and Yoruba race at large on the demise of The Mornach. May Almighty Allah repose his soul and grant him Aljanah Fridous; he added.
Okunlola, who was recently reported to likely emerge running mate to Teslim Folarin, governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, prayed that the Almighty grant the royal family, people of Iseyin and Oyo State at large the fortitude to bear the loss.
