A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency, Hon. Ademola Adegoke Alawuje, has congratulated Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi on her ambassadorial posting to Austria, describing the appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of her longstanding commitment to public service and humanitarian causes.
In a statement made available to journalists on Friday, Alawuje said the posting of the former First Lady of Oyo State reflects the confidence reposed in her capacity, experience and diplomatic acumen to represent Nigeria creditably on the international stage. He noted that throughout her years as First Lady during the administration of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Mrs. Ajimobi distinguished herself through impactful initiatives that touched the lives of women, children and vulnerable members of society.
According to Alawuje, her leadership of various social intervention programmes and advocacy platforms demonstrated compassion, administrative competence and a deep understanding of the needs of the people.
“Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi has consistently shown dedication to service, particularly in the areas of women empowerment, family welfare and community development. Her ambassadorial posting to Austria is therefore a fitting recognition of a life devoted to uplifting others,” Alawuje said.
The Ibadan-born politician expressed confidence that Mrs. Ajimobi would bring honour to Nigeria in her new diplomatic assignment, just as she did during her years of service in Oyo State.
He further urged her to continue to uphold the legacy of excellence, dignity and service associated with the Ajimobi name while strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Austria.
Alawuje also prayed for divine guidance and success for the new ambassador in the discharge of her duties, expressing optimism that her tenure would open new opportunities for cooperation between both nations.
Mrs. Ajimobi, a respected entrepreneur and public servant, is widely known for her advocacy for women and family development as well as her contributions to educational and social initiatives in Oyo State and beyond.
