The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State has reinstated the three members of the party executives illegally removed in Ibadan North local government.
Secretary of the party in the council, Biliaminu Abiodun Omotosho, as well as chairmen of the party in ward 3 and 12, Abideen Olayode and Peter Oladitan respectively have been removed few weeks ago.
The party, in a letter dated 21st December and signed by Isaac Omodewu, chairman of the party, asked for their immediate reinstatement.
RE: REMOVAL OF THREE PARTY OFFICERS IN IBADAN NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Reference to the meeting of Ibadan North Leadership/Stakeholders meeting held or Thursday, 13th October, 2023 at the State Office.
Copied to Teslim Folarin, Sharafadeen Alli, Musliudeen Akinremi, Omodewu said that “A letter was written to you on the 31st October, 2023 where you were given seven- day ultimatum to effect the official reinstatement of the three party officers unconstitutionally removed from office in your Local Government.
The state office received your reply dated 2nd November, 2023 where you highlighted issues not captured in a letter forwarded to you earlier.
In your end note where you state that” Nowhere in the whole world is the heads of the judges of the lower court are called for by the Appellate Court. Rather it’s the prayers of the appellants that are reconsidered in another direction, without asking the Lower court to do the pronouncement for them, With this allusion, the Senatorial District, acting as the appelate body in the matter ante, may come forward to make the pronouncement of the reversion to status quo ante, and as well address the issues mentioned in Nos 2 (a) & (b) in the letter.
The tone of expression in the statement above further confirmed the degradation of the party hierarchy.
Be it as may, I am directed by the state chairman of the party to instruct you to officially reinstate the underlisted party officers with immediate effect;
It is important for you to note that by this letter, the aforementioned party officers are hereby officially recognized by the state organ of the party and they will be henceforth invited alongside their counterparts in other local government for officia party duties.
