Starting off with a special meeting with the critical stakeholders of the party on Saturday, the re-engineering process was, according to a pager program for the meeting sighted by this paper, aimed at among other things:

    1. To secure full support of members for the party structures at all levels.
    2. To bring unity and cohesion to the party.
    3. To return trust and credibility to the party hierarchy.
    4. To halt the exodus of members from the party.
    5. To bring back members that had left and dissuade those at the verge of leaving.
    6. To guarantee progress for APC and ultimately win all the forthcoming elections in Oluyole and Oyo State for APC.

According to an insider, Olaosebikan in his opening remarks said that
problems were better solved mostly from inside and by insiders.

Olaosebikan told the stakeholders that he had put the issues of party primaries behind and stressed that it was high time members reunited for progress of the party in all the wards.

At the meeting hosted in his Akobo house, Olaosebikan secured firm commitment of the attendees to remain in APC and to collectively work for the re-engineering, unity and progress of the party in Oluyole and Oyo State in general. The meeting was attended by notable leaders of the party from the 10 wards of Oluyole.

The leaders praised Olaosebikan for not just standing with the party but working for and spending on the party, in spite of all the injustices done to him. They described the former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government as a selfless leader and an uncommon politician.
