Moroof Akinwande, who represented AFIJIO/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West federal constituency between 2003 and 2007 has commiserated with Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, over the demise of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.
The Oyo-born University of Ibadan trained veterinary doctor cum politician, in his condolence message said “we just lost another statesman in this critical time!.”
Recall Oyo state just lost Three monarch few weeks ago.
“I join his excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, Oyo state government and Oyo state residents to sympathise with the family of our ex governor Alao Akala who answered the call of Almighty.
“This is a critical time for us in the state and Nigeria at large but death is inevitable. Otunba Alao Akala’s contributions to Oyo State development can’t be quantified— he performed excellently while in government, and his name has been written in gold! I pray the Lord give us all the fortitude to bear the irrepairable loss.
“It is my prayer that Almighty God comfort the family, Oyo state government, residents and Nigeria at large.
“I pray that God comfort Governor Seyi Makinde, family of the deseased and Oyo state residents. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Akinwande said.
