Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s vice-president, today visited the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, to commiserate over the departure of the highly revered Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
The 83-year old monarch, who reigned for 52 years, died late Friday night and was interred Saturday.
The VP, who is a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was received by Akeem Adeyemi, two-term member of the house of representatives and his other siblings, after which he proceeded to greet Ayo Ladigbolu, a retired bishop and an Oyo prince as well as the wives left behind by the monarch.
He was in company of Raufu Olaniyan, deputy governor of Oyo State.
