Niyi Akintola, governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, today visited the homes of late Oba Saliu Adetunji, his possible successor, Lekan Balogun and former governor Rashidi Ladoja.
Oba Adetunji, OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls, had died January 2nd, 2022.
After the visit, Akintola, who was besieged by journalists, declined comments on who the next Olubadan would be, explained that “Our respected fathers are working assiduously to perfect issues regarding the crowning of the next Olubadan which is not shrouded in secrecy. The Ibadan system is open and transparent. It is the envy of other systems. The next person in line is known and that has been confirmed by the high chiefs. What other information do you guys want me to offer.
“Onilu o ni fe ko baje”… Please consult our eminent fathers and leaders. They are in consultation with one another. They’ll speak to the public in due course. As for me, I have no comments.”
After spending quality time and sharing some thoughts with Balogun and his guests, he left for the Bodija home of Ladoja.
