A prestigious group Oyo State Leading Patriots, OLP, commended the Otun Apesinola and Mogaji Olugbade of Ibadanland, Engr Chief Dotun Sanusi, for successfully hosting the 2nd Edition of the African Mini Football Championship which was held between 8th – 17th , July,’2021.
In.a press release signed by its founder and President, Mogaji (Asiwaju ) Nurudeen Akinade, OLP,?commended the financial and moral commitments of Ilaji Resorts Chairman as well as the newly constructed Ilaji International Mini Stadium and provision of other facilities which were of international standard and which facilitated the huge successful hosting of the competition.
The group also appreciated Oyo State government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, and heavily commended the deputy governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan for his love and display of uncommon acts of patriotism for finding time out of his busy schedule to attend and preside over both openinh and closing ceremony of the competition.
“By this singular acts, the names of Ibadanland, Oyo state and the Akanran – the host community have been put on the African and world’s map. We must commend Engr Dotun Sanusi, Ilaji Hotels and sport’s Resorts, Chairman Ona Ara local Government, Hon Sanusi Shaba, His Excellency, The Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, all the VIPs as well as the officials of the African Mini Sport Confederation, volunteers and those who worked tirelessly in ensuring the success of the Competition,” Akinade added.
The 2nd edition of the Mini African football Championship which was won by Egypt held between 8th – 17th July , 2021 was attended by about 10 different African Countries including the host Nation, Nigeria, the Defending Champion, Libya, Ghana, Somalia, Côte divorce, Senegal, Zambia, Burkina Faso.
