A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, KK Raji, has congratulated the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, on his emergence as the party’s presidential candidate.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor, won the party’s nomination after defeating other aspirants at the party’s special national convention in Abuja on Wednesday.
In a statement on Wednesday, Raji, who was one of the party’s senatorial aspirant in Oyo Central, noted that Tinubu’s victory at the primaries was never in doubt.
“When you look at his antecedents right from his days as a pro-democracy advocate during the NADECO struggle in 1993, you would agree with me that no one deserves this victory than him.
“He has over the last 2-3 decades remain committed to the democratic ideals required for anyone to truly govern this country.”
He added that with Tinubu’s emergence, the victory of the APC all levels is now certain more than ever before.
