Dr. Kola Balogun and Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and All Progressives Congress, APC are currently maintaining early lead in their respective senatorial district.
To the surprise of many, Balogun, who is contesting against outgoing governor Abiola Ajimobi of the APC in Oyo South, recorded good showing in virtually all the federal constituencies within the district.
Buhari, who is seeking a second term in Oyo North, recorded good outing in his district, especially in the 10 Okeogun local government areas.
