JUST IN: Makinde’s Aide Iya Kuegbe Resigns
The Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Culture 1, Hon. Omolara Adebayo also known as Iya Kuegbe, has resigned from her appointment.
Adebayo’s resignation comes days after the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and the Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning reportedly left their positions in the state government.
In her resignation letter, Adebayo expressed appreciation to Makinde for the opportunity to serve in his administration, as well as the support and experience she gained during her tenure.
She also thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in her, noting that it was an honour to contribute to the administration’s policies, programmes and development agenda.
“I wish to express my profound gratitude to Your Excellency for the confidence reposed in me and the privilege and opportunity given to me to serve in this capacity,” she said.
“It has been a great honour to contribute in my own little way to the administration’s vision, policies and developmental programmes for the good people of Oyo State.
“I sincerely appreciate Your Excellency’s leadership, encouragement, support and the invaluable experience I have gained during my period of service.”
She added that she remained grateful for being part of the administration and expressed continued commitment to the peace, progress and development of Oyo State.
