This is contained in a remembrance message he personally signed on Thursday in Ibadan to commemorate the sixth anniversary of the former governor’s death.

Senator Alli described the late Ajimobi as a courageous, visionary and transformational leader whose enduring legacy continues to shape the political and developmental landscape of Oyo State.

He said Ajimobi’s unwavering commitment to discipline, infrastructure renewal, urban development and progressive governance distinguished him as one of the most impactful leaders ever produced by the state.

According to him, the late statesman redefined governance in Oyo State through bold reforms, purposeful leadership and a determined effort to restore dignity to public service.

Senator Alli further described Ajimobi as a political mentor, bridge-builder and symbol of progressive ideals whose immense contributions to the growth of the APC and democratic governance in Nigeria remain indelible.

He recalled that Ajimobi made history as the first governor to secure two consecutive terms in Oyo State, attributing the feat to his sterling performance, leadership style and strong connection with the people.

“Though he is no longer with us physically, Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s legacy of courage, excellence, discipline and selfless service to humanity continues to inspire many of us in public life.

“He was a leader who confronted challenges with uncommon boldness and pursued development with sincerity, vision and determination,” Alli stated.

The lawmaker prayed for the peaceful repose of Ajimobi’s soul and urged political leaders and citizens alike to uphold the values of integrity, accountability and visionary leadership which the former governor represented throughout his lifetime.

He also extended heartfelt prayers and solidarity to the Ajimobi family, political associates and admirers across Nigeria as they continue to honour the memory of the late elder statesman.
