Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Afeez Owoade is set to install former First Bank Managing Director, Adesola Adedutan, as the new Balogun of Oyo land.
With this development, Adedintan will take over a title last held by the late Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, a renowned mathematician and former Governor of Oyo State.
Since his exit from First Bank Managing Director, Adeduntan, had seemingly recoiled into his shell, tending to business interests away from the spotlight that had defined much of his career.
But on Saturday, April 11, 2026, he will emerge once again, not in the glass towers of Lagos, but in the ancient, revered grounds of Oyo town, where he will be installed as the Balogun of Oyo land by the Alaafin of Oyo.
