Teslim Folarin, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last election in Oyo State, has mourned the passage of Sheikh Muyideen Bello.
“I mourn the passing of an iconic Islamic scholar, Sheik Muhydeen Bello Ajani.
“Baba was a great father and advisor. I can’t find the appropriate words to express my sadness but I take solace in the fact that Baba came, saw and conquered.
“Nigerian and African Muslim Ummah has lost a legend. Sheik Bello was an international Islamic preacher, scholar and peace ambassador.
“He lived a selfless and fulfilled life where he gave his all for the propagation of Islam. His usual pieces of advice and wise counsel to political, religious and traditional leaders will be greatly missed.
“I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved families, Muslim Ummah and Nigerian Government.
“May Almighty Allah Forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus,” the statement added.
