A retired army captain, Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, has urged Engr. Dotun Sanusi to continue to do good for the benefit of the masses as he turns 56.
In a personally signed message, Akinola, who hails from Ona-Ara, said Sanusi has by his action and inactions motivated developments into areas where government cannot do.
He listed the injection of life into Akanran, where many people have deserted until Sanusi came with Ilaji farms and later Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort. Akinola also revealed how Sanusi, who was just made Asiwaju of Ona-Ara local government, he bought transformers and hundreds of electric poles to ensure electricity got to the Akanran and adjoining villages.
“Beyond party affiliations, I celebrate achievers. I know what it means to bring life into things. I am from Ona Ara and I can say this man has done well, even beyond the council area, for the benefit of mankind.
”I decided to single out this man because he has been consistent with me. The ones I have seen, I can attest. People have also confirmed it. His accolades are not fluke.
”I challenge us all to emulate this man who likes his people very dearly. And I want to thank Ibadan for honouring him numerously. So the adage that says people like him aren’t honoured in their hometown doesn’t apply.
”So i join my other compatriots in the development of our hometown and beyond in celebrating this exemplar. May God Almighty take you to greater heights,” Akinola added in the congratulatory message.
