Newly installed Ajia Balogun of Ibadan, Oloye Aderenle Lekan Salami, has congratulated Mogaji Joseph Tegbe over his appointment by President Bola Tinubu as director-general of the Nigeria-China Partnership. This was just as the young Ibadan community leader assured that within a space of few years, the president may move Tegbe from this new position as he would be found more useful.
Oloye Lekan-Salami, who is the son of late sports enthusiast and philanthropist, Chief Lekan Salami, made this known in a press statement personally signed and made available to journalists.
According to him, “I congratulate Mogaji Joseph Tegbe on his appointment. I also commend President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy of the task. I make bold to say that on this appointment of Mogaji Joseph Tegbe, the president has chosen right. There cannot be any better choice for the role than this brilliant and experienced man. His many years in the private sector would afford the country the opportunity of quality bilateral relationship with the Chinese government.
“In fact, the president and his handlers must be commended again for the choice of Mogaji Tegbe for the role. This, to me, is a special envoy role, that would ensure that all business dealings Nigeria and Nigerians have with the country are well-tidied and prosecuted. I know that this Nigeria-China partnership which is coming weeks after Mr. President returned from China would birth many opportunities especially for the teeming productive Nigerian youths.
“Mogaji Tegbe would not only do well, he would ensure Nigeria and China have more economic partnership that will set us on firmer footings. Engr. Tegbe has close to four straight decades in the private sector and was at KPMG before late former governor Abiola Ajimobi dragged him to Oyo State as economic and policy adviser. Anywhere he has found himself, he does it well. I have no doubt in my mind that Mogaji Joseph Tegbe would do well and Nigeria and Nigerians would be proud of the outcomes.
