In furtherance of his contact and familiarization with the populace of Ibadan North West / South West federal constituency, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun has assured unprecedented grassroots development if given the mandate in the forthcoming general elections.
The assurance was made during the weekends at various meetings in the continuation of his awareness tour to all communities and groups within the federal constituency with the different group of residents, pressure groups and commercial operators at the ward 12, Ibadan South West local government area.
Olatubosun who was first hosted at the staffs’ quarters of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, IAR&T, Moor Plantation thanked the residents of the college and its environs for the honors and acceptance of his candidacy.
He implored the gathering majorly populated by youths and middle-aged women not to be deterred of the recurrent neglect from political office seekers who thrive on the intelligence of the electorates with use and dump tricks.
Extolled by a civil servant in the department of works, Ibadan North West Local Government Council who said he made it a duty call to attend the meeting on getting hinted of his unannounced coming to muster support from the people at Moor Plantation.
Olatubosun who was joined at the parley by the candidate of the party for the state constituency ll, Abeeb Idowu Balogun promised to model a grassroot administration with the use of people-driven approach model to provide projects across the nooks and crannies of the 21 wards of his jurisdiction.
At bembo-Logudu axis of Apata, Olatubosun who was conducted round the residence and meeting points of community and opinion leaders by the ecstatic executives of members of ACCOMORAN and youths promised baales, chiefs and people of the area of time to time developmental presence for the growth of the social and economic activities.
In the same vein, a non-governmental organization called The Pillar and Vision Foundation has teamed up with the mobilization crew of Dr. Wasiu Adewale Olatubosun in his bid to occupy the Ibadan North West / South West seat in the House of Representatives, Abuja next year.
The group which made its resolve known to the candidate and his team at Nigerian Union Journalists, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku on Sunday said the decision borne out of the prevailing and swelling perceptions amongst the teeming residence of the two local government areas under his intending domain on his track records in the public offices and humanitarian tasks.
Chief (Mrs) O. Allen, the Ibadan South West coordinator stated that it was imperative for the body to identify with the ambition of Dr. Olatubosun in projecting his vision to the uninformed people across the lengths and breadths of the constituency in order to get it right in the next political dispensation.
The highlight of the meetings included compilation of felt needs of each community and group and evaluation of suggestions of made by the passionate volunteers in winning the next election in landslide.
