Immediate past chairman of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, has congratulated the newly appointed acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji.
Adedeji, according to Ibikunle, is a round peg in a round home, adding that “with Zacch’s appointment, President Bola Tinubu has yet again demonstrated his knack for spotting quality hands to man strategic positions.”
“His appointment, for me, didn’t come as a surprise. I know Zacch. Any moment with him, I learn new things about public sector finance. I am happy he is given that role.
”When we were in government in Oyo, Zacch, together with others, reengineered the finance ministry and our internally generated revenue grew not long after. I have keenly followed his trajectory since then. Anywhere he finds himself, he makes the best use of it and the place will become goldmine.
”While I thank Mr. President for his appointment, I want to congratulate Zacch on his new role, believing that this will be a stepping stone to more greater role. The credential he parades isn’t meant to be kept anywhere than to be committed to the growth of our nation. I congratulate you, my brother,” Ibikunle added.
