A former deputy governor of Oyo State, Remi Olaniyan, has described the victory of President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal as a conformation that the people’s will prevailed during the elections.
Olaniyan in a statement made available to the press on Thursday afternoon noted that the victory is also a testament to the working nature of the country’s democracy.
“The victory was never in doubt. During this Presidential election, the strength of our democracy was tested but the overwhelming love that the people have for Asiwaju prevailed.
“Yesterday’s tribunal victory means that all hands including that of the opposition must now be on deck to achieve the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President,” the Igboho-born politician wrote.
He added that the time for politics is now fully over and full governance is now the order of the day.
