Against party’s directive, Musiliudeen Akinremi ans Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, who have just been re-elected Ibadan North and Oluyole federal constituency representatives respectively, were at the declaration of Mukhtar Betara Aliyu as candidate of for the speakership of the house of representatives.
Both Akinremi and Sadipe, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are eyeing the deputy speakership of the house of representatives.
Betara is a 5th term member from Biu/Bayo/Shani and Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency of Borno State.
The declaration just came to an end in Abuja.
Also in attendance is former majority leader of the house and leader of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mulikat Akande Adeola.
Sadipe’s action is against the zoning formula of her party.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that the APC, National Working Committee had nominated Godswill Akpabio and Abass Tajudeen as the next Senate President and House of Representatives speaker in the upcoming 10th National Assembly, respectively.
