NAS: We’re Committed To Plight Of Disadvantaged, Voiceless

    In committing to health and wellbeing of the vulnerable and orphans, the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Pyrates Confraternity, Jolly Rogers Deck, has donated consumables, clothes, toiletries and other items to Tabitha home, Ibadan.

    The donation to the Tabitha home for orphans and vulnerable was part of activities marking 70 years of the association, which also included a charity walk.

    Mr Olufemi Adesope, who led other members on the charity walk cum visit, said the association was keen on leveling out inequalities, being the voice of the voiceless and pushing for attainment of an egalitarian society.

    Adesope assured of the commitment of the association to the plight of disadvantaged children, especially helping them to achieve their dreams and be good ambassadors of their homes and the nation, at large.

    He added that the association is keen on service to humanity, ensuring access to quality education, building peace with strong institutions.

    Welcoming the donors, administrator of Tabitha home, Mrs Mosope Kehinde explained that Tabitha home is irresolute towards child development, integration and empowerment.

    She added that home does not only take in orphans and vulnerable but also provides them with shelter, educational support, medical support, therapy towards ensuring that they are self-sustainable.

    Mosope also stated that the home runs projects to make its residential children versed in technology, crafts while also encouraging them to partake in community projects.

    The charity walk saw members move from Olubadan Estate, Oluyole Extension to Tabitha home, Joyce B area in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
