All Progressives Congress, APC, aspirants jostling for assembly positions in Akinyele 1 and 2 have urged leaders of the party in the council area to be neutral in their dealings.
The aspirants, in a phone chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM specifically mentioned a former chairman, Ambali Mukaila Abiola, as been working in favour of a son of an Ibadan high chief.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the aspirants said that “While we are not disrespecting anybody, we wish to say, in the interest of peace, that all our leaders should not support any of us. We will support whoever emerges. But what can cause trouble is when we all bought forms and one leader who should be seen as father of all is now going round soliciting support for just one of us isn’t good.
”We cannot say we are not disturbed by what our leader, Alhaji Ambali Abiola, is doing. He should have told us not to purchase forms and that he has a preferred candidate. We are from there. Nobody should be sided. Let’s all go to the field and wherever emerges would be supported.”
