The transition of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, to join his ancestors has been described as a sad development by the Ibadan compound heads, otherwise known as Ibadan Mogajis.
A statement by its coordinator, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, stated that Oba Adeyemi would be sorely missed.
Recall that OYOINSIGHT.COM had earlier yesterday reported that the Alaafin joined his ancestors at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ekiti State.
“Alaafin Adeyemi was more not just a monarch, he was an institution who accommodated many of us.
“His transition at this period is one too many because it has created a vacuum that can never be filled,” he said.
They noted that the monarch would be remembered for long, sympathizing with other monarchs in the state, especially the Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun.
They then prayed that the Almighty grant the family of the late monarch the fortitude to bear the loss.
