A Professor of Comparative Politics, Barrister Adeolu Akande has congratulated all sons and daughters of Ibadanland on the installation of the 42nd Olubadan, Oba (Dr) Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade 11.
Professor Akande in a personal congratulatory message expressed joy that Ibadanland has sustained it’s age- long tradition of a hitch-free succession plan to the Olubadan stool.
“It is my pleasure and privilege to felicitate with the Olubadan of Ibadanland on his ascension to the throne of his forbearers. This is a rare occurrence in Ibadanland. Today, Senator Lekan Balogun is being installed as the Olubadan of Ibadanland, 70 years after his grandfather has occupied the exalted position. Only a very few family compounds have enjoyed this uncommon opportunities in the history of Ibadanland”
